Brochure 2 and voting packs have arrived!

Monday 17 October 2022

Well what a campaign it has been....lots of doorknocking (the only way to hear what people are thinking), lots of letterboxing (thanks so much to my family and friends for helping, two street corner meetings and chasing up lots of questions from residents.  It's been a lot of fun.  By now you will have received my second brochure, and should have received your voting pack - and don't forget to vote!! :)

Brochure 1 Dropped!

Monday 19 September 2022

After a busy weekend of letterboxing, most residents in the Central Ward would have received my first brochure.  This outlines a little about me, and what I have been up to over the past few years in supporting the people in Central Ward and beyond.  And a big thank you to my supporters who helped to deliver this during some pretty ordinary weather!

I've Nominated!

Wednesday 31 August 2022

Today I am very pleased to announce that I have nominated for another term as Ward Councillor in Central Ward at the City of Prospect.  I am proud with what we as a council have achieved, including navigating the most difficult time in modern history in providing support to the community during Covid.  Below is my nomination statement, and I would welcome any comments, thoughts or offers of help :) that you may wish to give!

________________

I love living in Prospect for its sense of community and I’m excited to be nominating as your local and independent voice in Central Ward. Married to Lisa and proud dad to twin boys, my ‘day job’ is CEO of St John Ambulance. The next few years are critical to ensure council delivers for residents and businesses. My advocacy for an Integrated Transport Plan was approved by council and we must deliver on this now to better manage parking issues, traffic speed and volume. We need to make sure that streets can be used and enjoyed by residents. Costs need to be managed through more shared services with other councils to help buffer the cost of rates. I will advocate for better waste management and recycling which will materially reduce costs and I will fiercely push for the ongoing upgrade of the critical things we use every day - parks, roads, and footpaths. I will always be available to support the people of Prospect to make it a better place to be. This is my vision for our community.
